Post ambulatory phlebectomy: chronic peripheral lymphocoele.
OBJECTIVES Peripheral lymphocoele is a recognized complication after various forms of surgery. This is a case report of a calf lymphocoele after surgery for varicose veins by ambulatory phlebectomy. METHOD The reported incidence, pathology and possible treatment methods are discussed. CONCLUSION Phlebectomy practitioners need to be aware of the possibility of this complication.
